Intro to Multi-Pitch Climbing Clinic | Mazama, WA
overview
You want to climb higher than you have before, but it looks complicated. Well it is! Our Intro to Multi-Pitch Climbing Clinic is designed to teach seasoned sport climbers the ups and downs of multi-pitch climbing. During this 8 hour clinic students will learn critical sequences for scaling walls beyond the single pitch crag. Anchors, lead belaying, belaying a following climber, and rappelling are a few core skills you will learn in this holistic skills based clinic. You will also learn more nuanced skills in managing ropes, and creating tidy belay and rappel stances.
This clinic assumes that participants have previous climbing experience and some exposure to the following skills; belaying a leader with a Gri-Gri (or similar device), basic sport anchor building, and knowledge of the lead climbing sequence. This clinic is also the place to start for experienced indoor and outdoor lead climbers who are looking to take their climbing to the next level.
