Spend the day working on techniques required to ascend Index's technical faces. Join your Mountain Bureau Instructor for a download on the tricks of the trade that will get you sending towards your aspired grade in a solid and positive environment. This clinic will help climbers focus on skills to improve the accuracy of foot placement, eye-to-body coordination, climbing without getting too “pumped” and overall efficiency on climbs. Climbing Movement is not just a clinic for beginners, but also for more advanced climbers who have never had any formal instruction on technique.

Itinerary

TOPICS COVERED

This 7 hour clinic will begin at 9:00AM at the Index Town Walls Parking Area. After a full day of new skills, our day concludes with a traditional debrief to share our thoughts and progress for the day. Students should expect to depart at 4:00PM.

PREREQUISITE EXPERIENCE OR SKILLS

No previous outdoor climbing and belaying experience needed.

Students 12-15 years old, accompanied by a parent or guardian

Students 16-17 years old, with consent from a parent or guardian and prior approval by The Mountain Bureau (please call or email prior to enrolling)
