The Mountain Bureau offers a three-part program in “Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain” for people who enjoy winter recreation in the backcountry. The curriculum for this program is designed by The American institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) and adheres to the recommended guidelines set by The American Avalanche Association. Our Instructors are former pro patrollers, pro skiers, and have a background as avalanche forecasters and AMGA ski guides or IFMGA American Mountain Guides.
